I currently have a CWP (leviton SMC280)

I have run a 2+2 wiring setup to several rooms (RG6 x2 + Cat5e x2)

I want to do multiple room gaming and view DVDs from one player on multiple TVs

I was thinking of leviton's 1x8 bidirectional 2GHz amp/splitter. (1 input from cable source with 8 outputs) With the amp/splitter being bidirectional would sending the xbox or DVD player output to one of 8 outs on the amp/splitter get the signal(s) to the other TVs connected to the amp/splitter?? If not, how do I do it?

Thanks in advance for your assist!!

If I understand correctly, you have two cables running back to your panel from each location, you could run the Xbox or the DVD back to the input on a 1x8 and feed it as the second input at the other locations. The other option is using a modulator. The problem is, you would need a cable going down to the panel to get to the modulator, and then another cable back up with the modulated signal on it. Analog cable you can modulate a few channels without a problem. Digital cable has taken most of that bandwidth from you.

I guess the easiest way I can think of is to run a third cable to the location with the X-Box and DVD, run them together on that cable to the 1x8 as an input, and then run the outputs back to your locations. This would essentially mean video 2 on all these units would show either your DVD, or your X-Box.

Thanks Ralph,

I currently have 2 RG6 cables run to every wall jack. One jack will supply the TV signal from the source. The 2nd cable currently is there to theoretically run an output from the DVD or Gaming box back to the panel then redistribute that signal to any TV in the house.

I currently have my DVD player output connected to an RF modulator and that output to the TV. I was going to run the RF modulator output back to the panel and from there redistribute to all the wall jacks so that DVD could be watched from any TV in the house, same concept for the Gaming, so multi players could use different TVs in different rooms.

My dilemma is getting the DVD and/or Gaming box signals going to the correct equipment in the panel to make it happen. I am going to use levitons 1x8 bidirectional 2GHz amp/splitter. (1 input from cable source with 8 outputs) to distribute the TV source signal but when I run the DVD and/or Gaming box signals back to the panel I need to get them going to the same outputs as the above splitter. Thoughts??

Thanks in advance for you help.

You would need a two channel modulator, a filter and a splitter/combiner. The cable signal goes into the filter, then into one input on the splitter combiner, the dvd and xbox go into the modulator and then into the splitter combiner, the output of the splitter combiner go into your 1x8.
