Hi, I'm definitely a newbie, so any/all help would be very appreciated.

I have a rental property in another state. Here are basic things I want to be able to do:

- control and set AC controls
- monitor access to the house (date, time stamp of when a motion detector goes off?)
- monitor room temperatures in multiple rooms
- possibly control lighting

I have DSL and a PC at the house. Where do I start?

I would reccomend an ELK M1G SYS4, it will allow everything you were listing and a lot more.

You would need to add lighting and HVAC controls, for those I recommend UPB and Aprilaire. Elk also has individual temperature sensors for the seperate rooms.

If you would like, you can email me your requirements and I can send back an estimate of the devices needed and their cost.

The more information you can give me on your requirements, the more information I can give you on pricing and usage.
