When I order from SmartHomeUSA, how do I ensure I'll get Version 2 and does it cost $48.95 or $58.95? Thanks

TI103-RS232 Version 2 - (2400/4800 baud, switch selectable)

I just hung up with Phil Kingery from ACT. He gave me the full overview on the TI103-RS232.

There are several versions of this unit, Euro and other country versions, an RJ version which you see on our site. Then there is the Version 1, which is somewhat deceptive, the unit was designed and produced and labled as the Version 1. Then a company requested a special version only compatible with their software, this was labled Version 2. It has no application outside of that one company. The Version 1 then had its software updated, but since the Version 2 already exists, it created this question.

So...to answer your question finally, the TI103-RS232 Version 1 with updated firmware is $48.95. The more expensive unit on our site is not the Version 2, but instead the RJ connector version as opposed to the DB9 version.

So if you need a DB9 connector, you need the updated firmware Version 1 is for you. TI103-RS232 ($48.95)

If you need an RJ connector, you need the RJ version. TI103-RS232-RJ ($58.95)
