Hello,

I recently purchased your Black & Decker 5-Piece Freewire Indoor/Outdoor Starter Kit - FW3000 to control some outside lighting via the Homelink unit in my car.

I installed the Freewire and the lights work great using the included Freewire remote.

My problem is that I don't seem to be able to control the lights from my car. I attempted to program the Homelink unit with the Freewire remote but it doesn't seem to "take" and I cannot control the lights.

I can use the remote from the car and the outdoor receiver is within 10 feet of the car with no walls or anything obstructing the signal.

I feel like I must be missing a step or something. Do I need a Homelink controller or something? The verbiage on your site seems to imply that it should work as is.

Can you advise?

Thanks!

Our understanding is that Homelink and Freewire are compatible. I have sold many of these devices to users who train them to their sun visor Homelink transmitter and are able to send signals to the Freewire messenger hub. Perhaps the issue is in the Homelink transmitter, or in it's training.

Please contact me directly so we can work this out.

Hi Ralph,

Tried to contact you just now but you weren't in. I left a message with my phone number. Please give me a call when you get a chance so we can see if we can get this to work.

Thanks
