|
|
Ok... so I have a dead security panel at my house and I'm thinking of upgrading.
So... after plenty of browsing, I'm guessing that upgrading to an ELK home security system would be a nice upgrade since the panel is essentially dead.
I'm not quite sure how Homeseer would be added to that ELK equation, but I would imagine I would need the Homeseer software plus some switches and control modules for different appliances (if somebody could point me in the right way for those I would be greatful).
Now... how does the Motorola Home Monitoring system fit into this equation with the wireless cameras, motion detectors (for the cameras and/or lights), and other monitoring devices?
Does everything work seperately or combined together? |

The ELK and the Homeseer software work together seamlessly, and make excellent companions for each other.
The HMEZ1000 on the other hand is a completely stand alone device from the standpoint of integration with the other two products. Perhaps you could trigger events on Homeseer and the ELK panel from the notifications from the HMEZ1000, but that's about it. |

| Hey Ralph...how is Homeseer with the Ademco Vista 128? I know the Vista 128 does X10 commands. |

| I don't see any Ademco panels listed on their hardware compatibility list, however when they open I will give them a quick call and confirm this for you. |
