I am putting together a home security system and want to make sure I get all the pieces together at once.
I'm starting with a simple monitored system that will have just interior motion sensor and hope to later expand to door sensors, maybe window sensors but there are a lot of windows. The house has a very open layout and one motion sensor will cover most all the lower level and the staircase to the upper level. Later on if wired door sensors are not too hard I will look at a wired motion sensor to cover the upper level. Right now I just want something easy to install and get working that gives good burglery coverage.
I'm looking at these items:
Napco Gemini 8/16 zone hybrid control panel - GEM-P816
Napco Gemini custom alphanumeric keypad - GEM-K1CA
(these two products together in the GEM-K816PREMPAK)
Battery - Sealed lead-acid battery: 12v, 7.5 Ah - IM-1270
(strangely if you go to this battery page on SmartHomeUSA there is a select options pull down showing the price at $17.95 but the "buy" option shows $21.95)
Gemini Wireless Adaptive Dual Sensor - GEM-DT
RJ31X jack (the simple jack apparently isn't sold by SmarthomeUSA but they are available on ebay, etc)
Have I missed any parts I might need? (other than wire ;-)
Any comments on whether this system will expand to more wired sensors?
Thanks

You seem to have a complete kit there, the only thing missing is wires and a wireless receiver for the GEM-DT.
The battery pull down menu is to choose between 7aH and 4.5aH.
