| I am a quadriplegic and need to know if the Spitfire iii is compatible with Dragon NaturallySpeaking or other speech software. |

I am sorry but I do not have a complete answer about Dragon Naturally Speaking working with the Spitfire3.
The support from Spitfire told me that If the Dragon Naturally Speaking allows for configurable outputs on the serial port or USB It should be possible to set it up to work with a SpitFIRE3.
The SpitFIRE documentation contains a list of the "scan codes" on pages 7 and 8.
http://www.smarthomeusa.com/Common/SpitFIRE3/manual.pdf (over 15 MB)
Essentially the Dragon Naturally Speaking software needs to send the "scan code" that correlated to the button that he wants to send from the SpitFIRE.
I do think that it is worth a shot if you can configure outputs to the serial or USB port.
If it does not work just save all the packaging and you will be able to return it for a refund. |
