My back yard is enclosed by a chain link fence with a double-wide gate. The gate can't be seen from our back door, however. So, when we let the dogs out in the back yard, we can't be sure that the gate is closed.
What I'm looking for is some kind of device to let us know if the gate is open without having to trudge out in the snow or rain. I would prefer a wireless system on the gate itself that simply sends a signal to a device by the back door that indicates that the gate is closed or open (LED lights would be sufficient).
I'm in Indiana, so we get all kinds of weather.... from very cold with ice and snow to very hot and humid. The device would have to be weather resistant.
I've seen pool gate devices, but those set off an alarm. I don't really want an alarm, just some kind of visual indication that the gate is open.
Does any such thing exist? |
