I'm in the process of installing a GE NX-8V2 security control panel. I'm not sure if I need to install the motion sensors on aspecific zone 1 thru 8 so that the system recognizes thes when I go into the "STAY" mode. I cannot find anythin in the instructions about installation of or programing for the STAY mode.

Also do I need the resisors in the motion sensor loop?

Thanks

All wired sensors require a End of Line Resistor. Also all empty wired contacts on the control also require resistors.

You can put the motion on any hard wired zone.

Are you trying to bypass the motion sensor while arming other sensors?

Ian,
I want the motion sensors to be by-passed when I press the "STAY" mode on the keypad. The STAY mode activates all the exterior sensors but by-passes the interior sensors (motion sensors). I think this is part of the programming but cannot find anything in the instruction manual about the STAY mode. I assume that it is part of the factory default and one of the zones is already designated for motion sensors so that they are by-passed when STAY is pressed on the keypad.
