I'm looking for a reliable outdoor remote control unit for an electrical outlet. I have a fountain and landscape lights that I'd like to be able to turn on from approximately 25' away. I have electrical power, but it's in the middle of the garden plants, and I can't easily reach it. I need the remote to be able to work through heavy plants but no trees. And it has to be able to work outdoors, through the rain & heat. I've tried several brands (SVAT & Heath Zenith) but they either quit after the first rain, or won't work htrough the plants.

Hello,
The simplest way to do this is to use the Intermatic Home Control products. You can use the HA04C outdoor module and the HA09C remote control. The HA04C is rated for outdoor use so you won't have any problems with rain.
