I would like to monitor my outdoor swimming pool from inside my house. I do not have a fence and would like to leave the pool open (uncovered) during both day and night, without worry of some kid drowning.
I can go hard wired or wireless.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks |

Hello,
There are two easy ways that you could do this. One would be to use a broad motion detector over the area. This will be more cost effective but will detect any motion including animals.

http://www.smarthomeusa.com/ShopByManufacturer/Optex/Item/TD-10/ (extra motion for complete coverage)
The other way would be to put in a wired beam system where the beam has to be broken for a alarm to be tripped. This method is more expensive, however it does cut down on false alarms.
http://www.smarthomeusa.com/ShopByManufacturer/Optex/Item/AX-70T/ (will need 4 for the entire perimeter)
http://www.smarthomeusa.com/ShopByManufacturer/CaddX/Item/NX-4KIT/ (wired security panel)
http://www.smarthomeusa.com/ShopByManufacturer/UltraTech/Item/IM-1270/ (backup battery for security system)
Please let me know if you have any questions. |

| As the owner you should make sure that the pool will be safe instead of spending too much for the alarm system why don't you make a fence for it you had mentioned you want it to be open well come to think of the accidents that may happen if it is open |
