Is there such a thing as a wall switch that that:
a) has a built in motion sensor, (with lighting control timer)
b) can be controlled locally, (dimming not required)
c) can be controlled remotely (ie. RF or powerline)
c) can send motion sensor activity to a remote controller, (same way)
d) is compact fluorescent compatible
Application: Existing entryways--For control of low power lighting as well as advise controller of activity in the area. The impetus for such an integrated product is for retrofit application, eliminating the need to rough in new wiring, wall boxes or multiple devices--just change the switch and set up controller somewhere else while retaining local and hands free control of lighting.
Note: The device must be able to operate autonomously, that is, include a lighting control timer controlled by the sensor. (It is not necessary for the device to report light on/off status to the controller, that is, it is sufficient for either the motion sensor timer or the controller or the local switch to turn on the light, if any command the light on it is on) |
