|
|
I just replaced one of my glass break detectors. The new detector is the same model
as the old....a CADDX 2200. It appears to be wired correctly. I have a green
light and when pressing the SW2 (internal test switch), it goes through the
alternating flashing patterns just fine. However, I am not able to arm my
security system without bypassing the zone that contains the detector. I have
also double checked the internal spring that is designed for detecting tampering.
Do you have troubleshooting tips that I can follow next?
Thanks. |

The only thing that I can think of is that you are using the normally-open contacts on the glass break and not the normally-closed contact.
Other then that please make sure that you still have the end of line resistor on that zone or the zone will always remain open. |

Ian...thanks for the reply. That was it. I changed the detector just the opposite of the way I had it wired...I believe from normally closed to normally open and it worked.
