Can use some help. Would like to accomplish a few things but don’t know which product(s) would work best for me.
Objectives –
Safety -automatic lighting (elderly in-laws moved in)
Security –“all lights on” panic button (for wife when I travel)
Need -
1, Set auto on/off for 5 outside lights
2, Set auto on/off for 4 inside lamps
3, Panic button for “all lights on”
Like to have –
1, 2 additional outside (flood) lights to be used with panic button only (will not be on a timer)
2, Ability to add internal lamps and wall switches to be used with panic button only.
3, Main controller to be located in a basement (2 story home)
4, Portable small panic button remote to carry with you |

Hello,
It looks like the easiest way for you to have timed lights go on and off would be to use the XPMT4 Mini Timer. The mini timer does have a all lights on button for a local panic button. For a hand-held panic button please look at the PPC01 Personal Assistance Voice Dialer with call pendant. The main issue is that we do not have a wireless hand held remote that has a all-on panic button. All the remotes like the PHR03 or PHR04 are on/off only.
The XPMT4 timer can only set timers for up to eight X-10 address at a time. You can always address more then one device to the same X10 address. You can also use the PMC01 as the table top controller as it is a little smaller then the PHC02 but other then that there is not much of a selection for table top controllers.
For the flood lights you can use the PHS01 and they will respond from a remote like the PPC01, timer like the XPMT4 or local motion. |
