Hit a wall. Seems pretty simple to set-up. Not getting dial tone, dialing, only the message starts playing way too soon. Before it could possibly have dailed and received an answer. Cox cable provides phone, cable and internet. Not aware of any internet protocal phone anything. Tech asked if there was a message when when universal dial-tone was not selected. If that meant when pulse was selected, there was no message. Just got to get this thing to make some calls. thanks, Brian.

Hello, Does the device at least attempt to dial-out? I.e. does it pick up the phone and start dialing audibly? Does your dial tone stay or go silent when dialing starts?

I will need more details to help you out
