I am currently doing a project that involves analog control using x10.
I have a device that I need to control via x10 modules and it is uses a 0-5V dc input signal to operate it. Has anyone had any experience with something like this?
Can I use an extened data command to specify a voltage level ex: 2.5 V? What will the receiver module do with this type of command?
My idea is that if I send a command that has a voltage level between 0-5V , read it on the corresponding module and output a digital signal representing that voltage level I can use that to control my device. |

This is a very specific request that I don't think X10 can master.
X10 does have low voltage input, output modules.. but they are designed for dry contact, not analog voltages.
If you use a home controller like our Elk M1Gold panel, you would have the ability to output these analog voltages. But sans a control system like that, the regular X10 technology cannot do it for you. |
