I have a bit of a DIY system. I have 4 ELO 17" touch screen monitors throughout my home. Each one running off of a Shuttle X - Pentium 4 2.66 GHz mini pc with Windows XP. Throughout my home, I have 16 insteon switches, one RCS X10 Bi-Directional HVAC Thermostat, all ready for programming.
Heres the catch, I need a software interface that will allow my family to easily control these products. I have 3 children, 2 of them 6 and one 11. I can easily get the "House Link 2" software and have the system running but I see no easy user interface that my wife and kids can easily manipulate. It needs to look like the mControl software front end for users. After I find the software, I need to find a security system that can be programmed into the software for easy monitoring of zones.
Basically, I need a nice user front end for Insteon and a "Wired" security system to go with it. |
