|
|
I just received 4 Russound KP4 Keypads from SmartHomeUSA. I connected one of the keypads to my CAS44 with Cat5e. I attached the cable to the punchdown connectors as specified in the instructions. However, I have been unable to get the keypad to work. The power button on the keypad does not light as it is supposed to. When I first plug the Cat5e cable into the back of the CAS44, all of the volume LEDs on the KP4 flash once, so there is at least some life in the keypad.
I tried one of the other keypads and have been unable to get it to work either.
I have used a voltmeter to test the 12v and ground signals being received at the keypad and they look fine.
There is some ability to update the firmware on the KP4, but I would hope that they would have been shipped with operational firmware.
Any suggestions here? These were very expensive keypads and it is disappointing to be unable to get them to work. |
