I recently purchased two 10-outlet smart surge protection strips for my two computers and peripherals. BOth seem to be having problems. Last night one of the power strips began to click loudly like a clock. The switched outlet indicator light was blinking in time to the LOUD clicking. I turned the strip off and then on and everythign seemed fine..for a minute or so and it then it resumed the clicking/blinking. I have it all unplugged now.
The other power strip is also unplugged, but it could be just a coincidence. I got an error messaage that somthing was seriously wrong with the system..it had crashed. The only thing different was the new smart strip so I unplugged it and replugged into the normal power strip and now it is working fine. Was it a fluke or the strip not sure....
I would appreciate some help. Thanks, CLaire |
